In January 2007, impressionist painter, Antoine Gaber, was featured and listed as in the reputable and well established International Art Book “Who’s Who in International Art“, 2007 edition, regrouping the famous and new names in the arts of the 21st Century, extending Gaber’s International recognition within the art world. Gaber was selected, as one of the 152 artists chosen from 22 countries within 5 continents.

In February 2007, impressionist painter Antoine Gaber held the first International “Passion for Life” Group Art Exhibition in Mexico, launched at the “Museo de la Cultura Maya”in the City of Chetumal, State of Quintana Roo, Mexico.

“Passion for Life” Group Art Exhibition was held under the Patronage of several important Mexican Government Officials, Museum curators, Art Critics, and generous event Sponsors (Fundación Oasis, Hotel Sens, in Cancun and Livingston Travel, Europe) which contributed to the great success of Gaber’s Passion for Life Program. Antoine Gaber’s Passion for Life Program was held under the Patronage of several important Mexican Government Officials, Museum curators, Art Critics, and generous event Sponsors.

During his visit in the State of Quintana Roo, impressionist painter Antoine Gaber had the opportunity to meet with several of the Government Officials and Sponsors supporting his “Passion for Life” Program.

Over 14 artists from 8 different Countries ( America, Europe, Asia), participated to the “Passion for Life” program, and exhibited 52 pieces of art at the Museo de la Cultura Maya in Chetumal, Mexico.

Parallel Passion for life program activities during the art exhibition at the Museum, also comprised of a series of scientific conferences presented by impressionist artist painter and cancer researcher Antoine Gaber, at several important Universities and Museum located in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico.

The two main objectives of Antoine Gaber’s scientific conferences was to first increase health education through awareness about cancer and most importantly early prevention and diagnostic to the younger generation, in the hope of seeding a positive outcome in the future. The second objective of these presentations was to also promote the different artworks exhibited at the Museum to the public, of all participating artists through virtual art presentations across the State.

As founder of Passion for Life Program, impressionist painter Antoine Gaber was especially recognized by the Universities and Mexican Government officials, and Museum curators for his cultural contribution and dedication in promoting the arts while supporting cancer awareness and fundraising.

The “Passion for LifeProgram in the State of Quintana Roo, concluded in the City Cancun with two special Gala evenings held at the luxurious Sens Hotel, under the generous sponsorship of the Oasis Foundation. The Gala started with a scientific conference given by impressionist painter, and cancer researcher Antoine Gaber to the public, followed by a virtual art presentations of all the artwork exhibited at the Maya Museum and later commented by attending artists and art critics.

The “Passion for life” evening Gala continued with a series of unique and diverse local cultural activities of the highest caliber with the presence of, Flamenco Pre Columbian Concert with Fusion music, Contemporary art dance, poetry, and Opera. The successful Gala evening was in support of the Breast Cancer group Desafio.

The Passion for Life exclusive and diverse program was very well received across the State of Quintana Roo, by Government officials, Universities, and the general public. Passion for Life received a significant Media coverage and support, as a clear indicator of its cultural appreciation for the International Art community as well, the importance of increasing the health awareness for the people of the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico.

In June – July 2007 Antoine Gaber PASSION FOR LIFE fundraising Art Exhibition event was launched in Volterra , Montecatini and Florence in support of the Department of Hemato-Oncology, Meyer Pediatric Hospital.

The PASSION FOR LIFE group exhibition was under the patronage of City of Volterra and Montecatini with the collaboration of 16 internationally recognized artists from 9 Countries.

The first part of the exhibition was located at the exclusive Historic Central Loggia dei Priori, in the Piazza dei Priori, town’s main square in Volterra.

The second part of the exhibition was located at the Sala Portoghesi of the Monumental Thermal Bath Center Tettuccio in Montecatinni.

In July 2007 Gaber was in Florida, USA to film a short educational biography segment for US Public TV NetworkThe introduction of the Antoine Gaber short educational documentary biography was done by the host of “The National Report Series”, the well known US TV news anchor, Hugh Downs. The short educational documentary biography segments was used as interstitial programming airing as a stand alone segments in between major programs on Public TV ( 349 stations across USA).

Gaber’s segment was aired during fall of 2007 in several States across the USA on several US important TV networks.

The introduction of the Antoine Gaber short educational documentary biography was done by the host of “The National Report Series”, the well known US TV news anchor, Hugh Downs.

Mr. Hugh Downs, host of “The National Report Series”. Also one of the most familiar American television figures in the history of the medium was the host of ABC News’ 20/20, the prime-time weekly News magazine program, for over 20 years.

In December 2007, as one of Canada’s chosen artist, Gaber accepted to represent once again Canada and display his most recent art work design, during one of the most prestigious European exhibition, the 6th Edition Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte Contemporanea, in Florence, Italy.

Over 840 artists from 76 nations exhibited more than 2500 artworks. The International Scientific Committee, composed of over 20 members, evaluated the works in the categories of painting, sculpture, graphic, mixed media, installation, photography and digital art.

During the Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte Contemporanea, Antoine Gaber had the opportunity to meet and discuss with several world renown Artists.

Gaber had the opportunity during the Florence Biennale to discuss his art with several Art Critics, Art Historian, Museum directors and art critics.

In 2005, the Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte Contemporanea of Florence joined Antoine Gaber as Artistic Partner, bringing art to life in support of cancer awareness and research with Gaber’s “Passion for Life” Program.

As one of the Florence Biennale collateral events, and as a follow up from the last 2 years, Antoine Gaber was invited as one of the key speakers to present an update on his International artistic fundraising efforts immediately following Hollywood actress Anne Archer’s presentation titled “Artists for Human Rights” fundraising initiative.

Prior to the day of conference the President and Director of the Florence Biennale of Florence Prof. Pasquale and Piero Celona invited a few very special VIP guests to a private dinner event to have the opportunity to discuss with the guest speakers the support of the Florence Biennale to the charitable activities such as “Artists for Human Rights”, “Passion for Life” and the role of the Meyer Pediatric Hospital Foundation supported by Gaber’s fundraising initiative “Passion for Life”.

Antoine Gaber, Canadian artist and cancer researcher, and founder of the Passion for Life Program, amongst other things organizes art exhibitions around the world. International artists contribute to the Program by exhibiting their artworks in prestigious locations with the aim of both fundraising for cancer research, raise awareness and prevention of the disease. In every Country where exhibitions take place, collateral events are organized and funds raised are given to the local Charity related to cancer.

Supporting by their stage presence Antoine Gaber in his lecture were the President of the Biennale, Pasquale Celona, the Director of the Biennale, Piero Celona and Hollywood actress Anne Archer who, in the same day awarded the Biennale with the prize. Artists for Human Rights”, for having sustained the United Nations program “Dialogue between civilizations” to which the Biennale has officially participated since 2001.

Gaber’s presentation on cancer worldwide had an important impact especially during his interactive session with the public. Antoine Gaber asked the public to raise their hands if anyone has cancer, knew someone with cancer in their own Family or friends, and to raise two hands if they knew more than one. The significant show of two hands raised was a chock to all the participating audience and brought the message home and increased the awareness on how cancer affect our lives not only all around us within our Families and friends but as well around the world. The emotion level in the audience was at his highest when Gaber asked if there were any cancer survivors within the audience. A few hands were raised; Gaber took the opportunity to recognize those very special individuals and their amazing achievements to have successfully beat the odds of dying of this terrible disease. Gaber highlighted why Passion for Life Program is important to make a difference in our own life by raising awareness and early prevention of cancer but also through increase research to find a cure.

Antoine Gaber was delighted to be able to acknowledge during his presentation some of the “Passion for Life” artists who were also participating and present during the Biennale.

As a token of Gaber’s appreciation of Hollywood actress Anne Archer, and on behalf of all the participating “Passion for Life” Artists, Gaber presented as a gift to Anne Archer, his Passion for Life art book and one of his most favorite fashion line Passion for Life silk Shawl.

At the end of his presentation, Gaber concluded, that only as a unified International Artistic Force in support of cancer awareness and research we will be able to cure this disease. He invited all other attending Biennale Artists to join and further expand “Passion for Life” Fundraising Program around the world.

Antoine Gaber’s conference on his Program update “Passion for Life”, stimulated the interest of the broadcast Television to take the opportunity to interview the artist and cancer researcher as well as some of the VIP guests such as: the President of the Health Commission and Social Politics of Florence, the Secretary of the Meyer Hospital Foundation, the President and the Director of the Florence Biennale of Florence, and the Biennale Passion for Life event Coordinator.

The main topic of the interviews and discussions were surrounding the use of the art through the Biennale of Florence and the “Passion for Life” Program, as an International vehicle to bring an important message to the world to increase awareness and prevention of cancer and support the fundraising to fight this terrible disease. As a prevention strategy the limitation of use of the nuclear becomes important around the world as still today in Japan after the Hiroshima atomic bomb disaster, 63 years later, the incidence of cancer in children are still a big concern. Some of the Pediatric Hospitals in Japan are currently collaborating through research with the Meyer Pediatric Hospital in Florence, to look at treatment and prevention of cancer in the Japanese children.
