During the financial recession in 2009, the International art world has been significantly affected and more so as Art is considered a luxury and non essential item.

During that time, reduced sales especially with high priced items would have greatly affected business and fundraising activities through Gaber Passion for Life Program. Therefore in 2009, Gaber chose not to participate to any art shows or fundraising activities until the economy became stable.
