Antoine Gaber – Canadian Contemporary Film Producer, Artist Photographer and Impressionist Painter – Artist Bio – 2018
In preparation for the Water for Life, International Art Exhibition, at the Niagara Falls History Museum, Gaber, as the Artistic Director and, participating artist created a special oil on canvas painting to be exhibited. His artwork titled “Onguiaahra” an Aboriginal word that appears on maps as early as 1641, interpreted as Thunder of Waters that clearly reflects the power of the waterfalls.
Now resident of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Gaber artistic contribution aim to this International event is to integrate some of the importance of this beautiful area, the spectacular Falls with it’s amazing combination of height and volume of water making it so unique.
Through his impressionistic artwork inspired by the theme of water, and since 20% of the fresh water from the world passes through Niagara Falls, his objective is to sensitize audiences to an important social and cultural issue: “More than a billion individuals – one in seven people on the planet – now lack access to safe drinking water. “
On this special occasion Gaber had his special Artwork scanned for Museum Printing quality for limited editions production. Some of the artwork detailed close ups can be seen thanks to this very special scanner resolution.
