Message from John Tory, Mayor of Toronto

Its my pleasure to extend greetings and a warm welcome to everyone attending the Breast Cancer Society of Canada’s Passion for Life / Water for Life, International Art Exhibition.

Tonight’s event provides a wonderful opportunity for art lovers to view an art exhibition featuring artists from different parts of the world-all in support of the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.

I am delighted that wonderful events like this are taking place in Toronto. Arts and culture can be incredible forces for the development of an individual, group or community, and they promote intercultural connections including tolerance, understanding, friendship and social cohesion.

The City is proud of organizations that are committed to making a difference. I thank everyone participating in this fundraising event for your contribution to the well-being of our communities.
